We get it. We’re parents too.
Traveling overseas with kids is exciting — and exhausting. The planning alone can feel overwhelming. Long flights, jet lag, picky eaters, bathroom breaks at the worst possible moments, strollers on uneven streets, grandparents with different energy levels, and that quiet moment parents share wondering, “So…who’s idea was this again?”.
We’ve been there. That’s why KoreanTourGuide.com exists.
KTG was built by parents who understand that family travel is not just about seeing famous places — it’s about pacing, flexibility, comfort, and having someone you trust handling the details when things don’t go exactly as planned. Unlike large online travel agencies designed for solo or adult travelers, we specialize in personalized, 1-on-1 service for families. Door-to-door pick-ups. Adjusted schedules. Guides who genuinely enjoy being around kids and know how to engage them.
We obsess over logistics so you don’t have to.
Experiencing Korea Like a Local — With Your Family
KoreanTourGuide.com is South Korea’s premier private tour guide platform. Through our carefully trained guides and fully-vetted vendors, we offer an experience in Korea that goes far beyond standard sightseeing.
We teach our guides to show Korea the way locals would show their own families on a weekend outing. Yes, you’ll see must-visit landmarks like traditional Hanok villages — but you might also discover a quiet stream tucked just around the corner, where kids can take off their shoes and feel cool water running between their toes. These are the kinds of moments you won’t find on English-language blogs or pre-packaged itineraries, but they’re often the moments families remember most
Meet Our Founder
KoreanTourGuide is led by Founder and Chief Executive Tour Guide, Rob Koh.
A graduate of NYU’s Stern School of Business and a former Wall Street banker, Rob left finance to pursue a career rooted in hospitality, storytelling, and human connection. He spent years working directly in the field as a tour guide, learning the industry from the ground up — not from spreadsheets alone, but from long days on the road with travelers of all ages.
Today, Rob oversees operations and guide training, but he’s still known to step away from the office to lead tours himself. Guiding has always been, and remains, his true passion.
Known affectionately as “Uncle Rob” by families and fellow guides alike, he believes that the only real difference between tourists and locals traveling in Korea should be one thing: a truly great tour guide.
Our Philosophy
A great guide doesn’t just explain history.
A great guide reads the room.
A great guide adjusts when kids get tired, parents get overwhelmed, or plans need to change.
At KTG, we believe Korea’s greatest asset isn’t just its palaces or cultural sites — it’s its people. Our mission is to bridge the gap between visitors and locals through guides who care deeply about creating meaningful, stress-free experiences, especially for families.
We’ll continue training exceptional guides, refining our approach, and finding better ways to help families experience Korea not as tourists — but as welcomed guests.
One family. One tour. One unforgettable experience at a time.
— Rob Koh
“Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing so some have entertained angels without knowing it.”
