South Korea is now at the tail end of the corona curve with confirmed cases hitting single digits for the first time in months. The government allowed for quarantined cases to vote at physical polling station in last weeks elections. Who knows if this will lead to an uptick in Covid19 cases.
Things are slowly getting back to normal. People are out walking around but wearing masks. During rush hours, subways are packed with people. We didn’t really ever shut down the economy other than the closing of public schools. I really feel sorry for all the young mothers out there who haven’t had a break since the start of this outbreak.
My hope is that South Korea can continue this emergence out from COVID19 and become a beacon of hope for people around the world. There is light at the end of this tunnel and we can surely see it from where we are right now. I will continue to write with transparency and authenticity about what I see on the ground and hope it brings comfort to those who need it.
