Description

The DMZ is one of the most fascinating and meaningful places to visit in Korea. While the Joint Security Area (JSA) is currently closed, we’ve carefully designed an alternative route that allows families to experience the DMZ in an engaging, educational, and comfortable way.

Once a symbol of division, the DMZ today stands as a place of peace, hope, and reflection. Stretching across the Korean peninsula, different areas of the DMZ open and close depending on the day, which makes every visit a little unique. Our route focuses on the most accessible and interesting sites available at the time of your tour.

You’ll travel through official checkpoints and visit the Dorasan Observatory, where you can look across toward North Korea and learn about Kaesong, the ancient capital of Korea during the Goryeo Dynasty. You’ll also explore historic tunnels beneath the DMZ and hear the remarkable stories behind them, all explained in a thoughtful, age-appropriate way by your private guide.

To keep the day balanced and enjoyable for younger travelers, we also include a stop at Pyeonghwa Land, a small peace-themed park near the DMZ. This lighter stop gives kids a chance to relax, enjoy gentle rides, and explore open spaces, offering a fun and refreshing contrast to the historical sites visited earlier in the day.

If the JSA reopens during your travel dates, we’ll be the first to let you know and will always try to include it when possible. As with all DMZ visits, the itinerary may adjust slightly based on conditions, ensuring a smooth, memorable, and family-friendly experience from start to finish.

**Due to the political and security-sensitive nature of the DMZ, routes, sites, and timing may change at any time. Our team closely monitors conditions on the ground and always adjusts the itinerary to ensure a safe, smooth, and meaningful experience for your family.**
